WP1<\/span> <\/strong>has as an objective the appreciation of microalgae biomass for usage in human nutrition.<\/span><\/strong> This WP is led by CIIMAR<\/span> <\/strong>with the contribution of Allmicroalgae as the microalgae supplier.<\/span><\/strong> This biomass will be sent to the UAveiro and UMinho partners, which will produce the extracts using high pressure and ohmic heating processing technologies<\/span><\/strong>, respectively. UMinho will also work to improve the heterotrophic production<\/span><\/strong> of Chlorella vulgaris<\/em>. All the produced extracts will be distributed among the partners for lipidome<\/span> <\/strong>(UAveiro), biochemical<\/span> <\/strong>(Allmicroalgae), microbiological<\/span> <\/strong>(UCP), and bioactivity<\/span> <\/strong>(CIIMAR, FCUP) analysis<\/span><\/strong>. Other entities will contribute to the innovation of food products<\/span><\/strong>, such as Ernesto Morgado, which will attempt to utilize microalgae in meat analog ingredients, as a supplement in rice, in \u201cready to eat\u201d meals, and in other ingredients for vegetarian meals and snacks, while IPLeiria will be in charge of innovation in pastry and bread products.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
