Microalgae can be incorporated into animal feeds and contribute to their nutrition. They are rich in protein, fibers, and polyunsatturated fatty acids and can contribute to animal well-being throughout growth. Upon usage of each microalga, many parameters are evaluated, from digestibility, to zootechnical and immunity parameters, in order to verify diet functionallity. At the end, meat that comes from these animals is thoroughly tested through sensory analysis and quality checks.
